    BATTLE OF THE BANDS!
       Photography by Karina Pattern

The bands fighting in this battle are fierce and the crew have worked hard to bring GLORIFIED to headline they're show at the Brunswick Town Hall on Friday July 27th
The bands will be fighting it out for a spot to play at PUSH OVER FESTIVAL 2013 and some AMAZING money-can't-buy prizes.

I went to support my friend Jessica Trevena who unfortunately didn't perform that night but was one of the crew members running the event.

Battle of the Bands Freeza was amazing, I felt like a teenager again, supporting these talented high school students rocking the stage with their energetic performances, dancing around with supporters to crazy rock, metal, punk, funky originals and covers, reminded me so much of my days back in high school.
The event suit the venue well but there was one question I had in mind about bands performing on ground level!

An issue I found disturbing, were the large speakers! they were too close to the crowd which is deafening...the crew supplied ear plugs but I really don't get why they didn't get the bands to perform on the actual stage and not on ground level with the audience?
I also notice the crowd was too close to the bands performing on ground level, some supporters kind of got out of control and they could of hurt themselves! even if there was a fence to hold the crowd, someone could of hit the foldbacks or easily throw something at a performer or worse got electrocuted by all the leads and wires on the ground and possibly ruined the bands performances by putting the power out!

It was one awesome event enjoyable for ages 16 upwards.
The venue is suitable for any event, I believe it can take up a crowd at about 400-500 or maybe more!
Its the first time I've been to Brunswick Town Hall.

My favourite band were Pixie Juice, I loved their style of music. I loved everything about them with their funky tunes! I was really hoping they would win...I actually don't know who won? I gotta find out!
